MotoGP Indianapolis 2013 - Ride through downtown..

I shot this video to show what it's like to ride through downtown Indianapolis During MotoGp in 2013. This ride took place on a Friday night before the sun was setting. Saturday's are even packed with more motorcycles. This shows what a great atmosphere this event brings to our city of Indianapolis. Thousands of bikes all lined up in a small section of downtown blocked off for our use. As the sun sets there are night clubs, outdoor & indoor parties as well as stunt shows, ect. The fellowship at these events are great for all riders involved.

One thing that suprised me, it looks like there were more cruisers than sportbikes. I didn't think that was going to be the case.

Curious, when I go to Indianapolis, I usually just make a b-line to the dealer on 16th, just past the speedway. Where is this in reference to the track?

The street all of the bikes are parked on in the beginning is Meridian St/Monument Circle.I can't remember exactly because of all the one way streets downtown.But if you leave the track on 16th st heading towards your dealer on 16th, then monument circle would be towards the right when you pass Meridian.

I just can't remember if Meridian ends up being a one way or not, but it intersects 16th st.

That would explain why I've never seen any of those tall buildings. I've never crossed the bridge on 16th. :zombie:

The one ways can be a pita but you should make a trip down Meridian sometime.Even if it isn't during the GP.Theres a small stretch thats still a 100yo brick road around monument circle, its kind of cool seeing the historical brick road under the bike instead of concrete or asphalt.

I was up there the past 2 nights.I doubt I'll go tonight but who knows lol.
