Greetings from the OBX

I haven't posted much last few days because I've been down in the Outer Banks, NC on vacation. Very much enjoying my with my g/f and some good friends.

There is one thing that sucks about being down here though.... I'm here, and my 6R is at home Since I am trying to ease myself back out on the road, the long straight, kinda slow traffic speeds would've been perfect to get myself warmed back up to the road. So what's a guy to do?

Turns out there's a dealership that rents bikes! While it certainly isn't my style of choice, I decided to grab this for a day...

2012 Harley Davidson Fat Boy Lo for those who don't know what it is(I certainly wouldn't have known lol). I ended up putting 164 miles on it that day(yesterday 7/18) and it was GREAT to be on 2-wheels again.

DEFINITELY glad I didn't get rid of the 6R now, after yesterday I know it would absolutely have been a huge mistake.

While I don't want to leave OBX yet because I love it down here, I am anxious to get home and take the 6R out again

I love OBX jus drive slow or farva will get you on the way home is that the Harley dealer on the main road in that shopping center ?

At first glance I thought the floor board on the shaded side was where it had "marked its territory". lol

The Fat Boy's are really nice bikes. I have a friend that has one, and she loves hers. Not big enough for me, since I am so tall, but they make for a very nice standard cruiser.

The Harley dealer was off of 158 about a mile or two before the bridge taking you in to OBX.

The Fat Boy Lo was great for a cruiser. As much as I got to ride it, my opinion hasn't changed on them though. For long mostly straight trips, like big highways and such, its wonderful. It's comfortable, stylish and has plenty of power. If you want to do any twisties, or even sharp turns in general though.... this is not the bike lol. the 6R still stands the perfect all-arounder imo, and shall remain my bike of choice for the forseeable future.

I thought it was funny, somebody had actually traded in a black 6R to buy a Harley. I didn't get what year it was but they wanted to resell it for $7900 so it must've been nearly brand new. I asked if I could rent it out, but they will only rent out Harleys
