FZ6R Stock seat enhancements...

Soon I'm planning a Saddle Sore 1000, so I'm a bit concerned about the amount of abuse my bottom and back will have to deal with during the ride. I was looking to get some sort of cushion for the seat since I can't afford a custom seat.

I was recommended and/or found the following options:

1. Air Hawk - $149 AIR-ADJUSTABLE MOTORCYCLE SEAT CUSHIONS - JCWhitney

THE AIR SEAT WOULD BE THE BEST . OTHERS WILL STILL BE THE SAME SHAPE AS THE STOCK . THE AIR SEAT WILL CONFORM :wav:

Also, get yourself a pair of padded biking shorts. You can wear them and they will stay in place better than a seat cover might.

I think the stock seat is comfortable enough for most trips in my case. Did close to 300 miles the other day and I was okay with it. Now 1000 miles in under 24 hours might be a different story...
Right now I'm thinking to get the air seat as stuna recommended in combination with the biking padded shorts as 99vengeur suggested. I'm really not trying to modify the seat in any way permanently, I'm looking for an add-on enhancement.

I'll try to post this thread on the FZ1 forum, no offence to the FZ6R community but theres a larger community of seasoned riders there. I thank to all that replied and/or will reply to this post.

Yeah...there bikes been out longer and good point. They have more seat time on theirs that we have/do ours.... Let us know!
