Farewell FZ6R... Hello Ninja 650

Well that didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would....

So I did successfully sell the 6r. I was really sad to see her go, even more than I expected. But it was for a good reason. I ultimately decided though that I didn't want to give up riding completely, so I put about $3000 of the $4600 I got from the 6r aside so that it could go towards something cheaper. That way I didn't have to give up riding completely, but still got a solid jump financially(more on that in a minute). I had no idea I would find a good deal this quickly. So without further delay. Here is my 2007 Ninja 650

She rides and sounds great. He had just changed the oil. Tires have plenty of tread. I was really surprised I was able to snag it that that price, which is why I jumped so quickly.

Also, a financial advantage is the insurance. 1/3 the cost of the 6r! I was paying $600 a year for the 6r, only $217 for the ninja. Thought that was a bit surprising considering their power and everything is very similar.

She doesn't shift as smoothly as the 6r, but a very minor thing for me. I'm much happier overall now.

Nice deal! Fairly similar to the 6R so you should feel at home on it. Glad you can still ride! Same way I ended up with the Bandit.

Very glad that you got such an awesome deal. Of course no matter how the HID's look, it is still just a PnP (But I am sure that you expected that from me)

I have always loved the look of the 650R, even wanted one for the longest time. Very nice ride, and great price. Can't wait to hear more about it. You deserve it man!!

Wow a lot of responses since I was last on here haha. Thanks everyone for the compliments.

@MistahT: I'm sure I can come up with something I kid. I do wanna hang out one day but I am booked up tomorrow with the girlfriend(we scarcely get a whole day where we're both off work, so we will be taking advantage).

@Rabbitman: Yeah I knew you'd say something about the HIDs haha. As this is the first time I've had a chance to have HIDs on any bike I've owned I will say I'm very impressed with how much visibility I'm getting from them. I might go with an "angel eyes"-ish setup at some point, but in the meantime I'm very happy with them.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do mods-wise. A lot of colors go well with the silver, but I haven't really decided on one. Kinda leaning green just cuz it's different, and green leds won't get my in any cop trouble.

What I DO know though, is that now that I've had a few good days to ride, I'm still very happy with my purchase!
