Hello,

I am wondering about something that I probably already know the answer to. My question is if I cut the end of the exhaust pipe and get the hole bigger for a deeper sound, will it void the warranty. You see I just bought my FZ6R I brought it in for its 600 mile service, now I want to modify the exhaust to get a deeper sound. Another question I have would it hurt to put a "juice box" on it being I will still have stock exhaust. Any help with these questions to help me make up my mind would be greatly appreciated. cutting the exhaust will void the warranty on the exhaust... if the engine blew up, would be hard to say cutting the exhaust caused it.

But for two cents of my advice (I'm running stock pretty much everything, but read and learn a lot from other posts ;) ) you might get a louder sound from opening the exhaust up, but not sure about deeper. For that, I'd look into the R6 header and a slip-on that has a deeper sound.

As to JB or PC... save that for when you do a full upgrade to the exhaust, not just a slight change for sound.

Look at R6 exhaust Marthy edition... I'm working on a package that would work for our bike. Something affordable... Just trying put put a little budget together. Like somebody suggest me, I need to dyno the stock pipe vs. mine before I do anything. What I like about my package is adjustability. Either for sound or performance with and without a JB or PC. And it sound great too!

I am pretty much in that same fixed, trying get a better sound without all that cost having to put a full exhaust on, someone mention about opening up the end on the stock exhaust !! Are you saying remove those 2 screws and the plate on the exhaust itself?
