Bent forks, Best course of action?

Hi everyone,

I just bought a 'slightly' damaged FZ6R and was wondering the best course of action to fix the front forks, I've attached some images below. One is badly bent, other isn't to bad. So far my options I've come up with are:
  1. Replace with second hand (hard to find)
  2. Striaghten one and replace tube on the other (internals :/?)
  3. Replace both tubes and hope internals are okish

I'm near Melbourne, Vic - AUS if it helps.

That's nothing a bit of gaffer tape wouldn't fix

Having a solid front end is absolutely a safety issue, so you should pursue the most conservative fix possible, and definitely not the most economical.

Have a mechanic inspect it if possible. I would want to have the triples area inspected carefully as well for misalignment or damage.

Definitely replace the forks tubes and get professional advice on the internals.

If you've ever experienced high speed wobble or a tank slapper, you will realize how important fixing this properly is.

Best of luck with the repairs.

Yup, full front end and frame inspection for possible cracks, bending, etc.

BTW, save the less bent fork tube as a super duty wrench extender.
