That's really cool. Sorta like a go-cart perspective so low to the ground.
I can hardly wait for my mount to arrive. Getting this one.
I have an AipTek GVS and the lens tilts upward so I need to adjust the aim down a bit to compensate like I did on the airplane dash mount I made.
Shoots at 720P at 60 frames per sec for great action or 1080P at 30 FPS.

nice new angle, nice vid.... I still gotta find one that doesn't show the speedo, but still gets action. I was looking at the slider as an option, now that really looks like a great angle.
I'm thinking about the rear grab rail as well, just gotta find me some more hose clamps (duct tape just doesn't look great on our bike)

So far I had a bad experience with the Kodak Playsport, already returned one because the rubber/plastic crap that it the mounting hole broke apart on the second day of testing...
Now I'm considering to make a custom mount for it, BTW toofless, love your wedge-nut-frame-slider idea, I might do one like that. As far as removing the reflectors of the fork and installing it there, that's real easy. The holes that are left behind after the reflector removal, are almost 3/16" witch means you can use a tap and put in a 1/4 20 thread on it. That's how I mounted my Ram Mount ball to them.
Also I noticed you used a rubber washer of sorts when mounting the camera, I was thinking the same, that will damp some of the vibration. I'll update this thread if I find a different approach on mounting the Playsport to our bike.

I did buy a regular mount. Figured would be good for GPS or camera.

My wife has that on her cell phone. If you are not looking directly down on the screen, you can't see anything! That may actually work for your intended purpose as well.

By all means, let us know, that would make life simpler for anyone with a tank/handlebar mount! Is that something you can find locally or only online?

For now, my Sony Vegas Pro does the job blocking the speedo
but I just noticed this morning, one of my locking clips was still on the bike mount, will have to order another for the camera, and maybe some additional "legs" while I'm at it, just to get more angles from one mounting point.

Since you have the HD camera (I have an HD camcorder, just HD based, so it won't work on the bike)... I'd highly recommend Sony Vegas Movie Studio.

You can catch it on sale for around $70.... IMHO, that's a steal. It's great for home movies, making dvd/blu-ray, etc.
