    Pirelli Angel Gt first review

I ran a set of Angel STs last year and loved them. I was disappointed to find out that the GT replaced the ST. So I reluctantly bought a pair of the GTs this year. I couldn't be happier! I push pretty hard in the corners (dragging knee) and these tires hold up really well. After 5K I am starting...

Where to Buy a Front Fork Assembly for 2009 FZ6R

Send it to a custom shop and have an R6 front end put on. They have to change bearings among other things to make it work but it would certainly be worth it. The R6 fork will be much easier to find used as well. If I remember correctly a few years ago someone did the conversion on here. Might be...

    OC Bikefest

I did the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway this summer on my way to ride the Dragon. The Parkway was an amazing ride. I enjoyed that more than the Dragon. I will see what I can do about getting down there soon.

Looking for riders in the johnstown Pa. area

I'm getting a little further away than some of the other guys but I wouldn't mind going for a ride sometime. I am located in Pine Grove PA. We have a lot of good roads in my area. Let me know if you want to go for a ride sometime.

    road trips on your fz?

2200 miles in 4 days. One day was 22 hours on the bike (rained most of the way). Only thing I had as far as comfort was a cramp buster. I have peg risers to bring the pegs up a little so I don't scrape them when leaned over hard. I was pretty comfortable considering I was riding with a one...

    have you ever caught air?

Yea. There is a road near me nicknamed, Stairway to Heaven". Think of a rhythm section that is paved going up the side of a mountain. Needless to say you can do about 5-10 over the speed limit and get good air. The speed limit will get the entire bike up around 4-5" off the ground twice and the...

    Best Handling Mod for $0

That is a good point about hanging on too tight. I used to do this too. A grip that is too tight will cause a lot of fatigue pretty quickly. If you read "Total Control" the author states that you should only be steering (counter-steering) using one hand. That does not mean the other hand is off...

    TBR with and without Tips

Hahaha! I had a guy last year run out in front of me and take swing at me while I was riding about 45 MPH. He thought I was someone else that was flying past his house everyday. Now I go by in first gear..... on the rev limiter! Payback is something special!

Tail of the Dragon - March 2013

You can buy beer at the store right on The Dragon. They had a small selection when we were there last summer.

Tail of the Dragon - March 2013

I was down at Deal's Gap this past summer (June 2012). It is an amazing ride. Some things to keep in mind: 1.) As with any road make sure you ride within your limits and keep a cushion in case a car comes into your lane (it happens, and much faster than you think). 2.) Be prepared for a...

    How crazy...

I rode to work today. 17 degrees when I pulled out of the driveway. I don't park my 6R unless there is snow on the road.

Need a faster, bigger, more powerful bike...

Every bike has its purpose. The 6R is a great bike. It is my first bike and I went from never riding to being able to drag my knee in the corners with it. Yea I could ride this bike forever and certainly be content with its ability. That being said. As soon I can I will buy a litre bike. I will...

How many miles on your bike?

Just rolled 30K on mine this past weekend. Bought it brand new in 09.

    Chain maintenance

I use two Horrible Freight stands to lift my bike. I have one for front and back. I've used both of these stands hundreds of times to lift a bunch of different bikes and have never had a problem with either one. I would not have a problem with buying another set. If a weld broke on one you...

    Drive Sprocket Retaining Nut

I had changed the sprockets and chain two years ago. I did stake the nut to the shaft but apparently not well enough. After seeing this I plan on inspecting this a little more often. Yea when I ordered the nut I ordered the washer as well. But good catch. Thanks!

    Drive Sprocket Retaining Nut

Yesterday was amazing weather, so I decided to go for a ride. I checked the air pressure in both my tires and put the swing arm stand in place to clean and lube the chain. As I am spinning the tire and wiping down the chain I notice that the chain is not riding on or near the chain guide on the...

Videos of my friends and I at the "track."

I was torn with not being able to see my speed on camera as well. Then I started posting videos on YouTube and thought better about letting people see my speedometer. I know you are on a closed road so that really doesn't matter for you.
