The seat is definitely a weal point of these.... I know others on the forum have had the seat re covered with a firmer foam, and or gel pads. I'm unsure how that pad will fair by itself though. Maybe re upholster, and use it as a supplement?

I do it pretty often. It can scratch up the pavement, especially soft asphalt. Just be careful balancing the bike.
