Make sure all the nuts are tight on the header flanges and the gaskets are sealing good. Any exhaust leaks will let fresh air into the exhaust, mix with unburnt fuel, and POP your annoyed. Good luck man.

14.12 would be safe for cruising, but way to lean for WOT conditions. Most engines tuned on pump gas shoot for 11.7-12.5 afr under WOT where you will see max hp.
