Recommended coolant

Hi there,
Wondering what is the recommended coolant for FZ6R? The manual says we should mix 50% anti-freeze.. a little lost here. Is it better to buy them separately and then mix? Or buy an already mixed one?
I bought it last year and put 1000 miles on it. It has over 9000 on it now. I don't know when/if the coolant was changed.

I'm in Illinois and rode till the first week of Dec. It ran pretty coolly in last couple months. But before that, the engine fan was coming on at around 212F I think.

Right now it is covered up but I also need to go check the level of coolant. Will do it when I take it out in a month or so.

I use "Engine Ice", but I am dealing with the extreme Arizona heat in the summer.

I've used it in other bikes, as well.

I always flush the system a couple of times with distilled water.

I also use a cheap hand pump to pump out and flush the overflow bottle, before filling it with engine ice.

One more tip, I cut a hole in the side/bottom of a plastic water bottle and made a nice funnel out of it.

I like Engine Ice too. Just put it in and don't worry about mixing anything. It's a bit expensive, but easy to use.
