Ram Mounts

I wanted to use the GPS feature on my Motorola Droid while riding the FZ6R. I had success with RAM Mounts before, so I came up with this configuration. I also wanted to shoot some pictures and video. The ball is screwed directly into the handle bar mounts on the motorcycle. Looks like it will work well.
I am a little concerned about the Droid not being secure enough. Anyone have any ideas for tethering in case it bounces out of the holder?

Can you get one of those silicone cases for it and just punch a hole thru it and tie it off? Or get some velcro straps and just strap it to the mount so it can't pop off.

Haven't played w/ the Droid much, but if there's a little slit for silly charm-type dangling accessories, perhaps you can loop in a small piece of string, then tie it to your bars?

yeah, that would have been my first choice as well, but there is nothing there. I may have to go to a water proof enclosed case.
