Pensacola to Tampa

Im planning on riding my FZ6R down to Tampa from Pensacola here soon. The one way mileage is around 450 miles avoiding the interstate and hugging the coast. Just wondering if you guys would stop half way for the night or if you would soldier on for the whole trip. Mapquest says it will take about 9 hours without the interstate.

I used to do Panama City to Tampa all the time (before I had a bike), it always took me right around 5 hours and that was 98 to 19 on a Friday night. On a bike, doing more than 6-8 hours can get uncomfortable, depends on your threshold for riding, can you stay alert that long...
I'd make plans for both, be ready to stop and take an overnight break (find a good spot with lots of cheap hotels so you don't have to make reservations) in case you get exhausted, but plan for a long 9 hours trip with a few gas stop/walking/rehydration breaks.

Yeah Im thinking about maybe stopping half way for a night. Im sure the trip will be more pleasurable.
