I pulled the trigger on cutting 4 small holes in the bottom of the airbox, and now a few days later, every time i start my bike in the morning, and until it warms up, i get smoke (looks grey to me). then the bike warms up and it goes away.

i am wondering if i messed up, though i have not heard of this issue with anyone else doing this.

thoughts?

suggestions?

No your fine, just condensation through thermodynamics, hot air meets cold air causes condensation (smoke, vapor, fog).
Cutting air box or putting holes in it does nothing to the engine in respect to smoking.

Its normal.
