Oil Filter Change

I was looking at a FZ6R at the dealer. I noticed the oil filter is just behind the side stand. It look to me like you would have to remove the fairing to change the oil filter. Could someone look it up in their Owner’s Manual to see if that is the case?

yep gotta remove "cowling b"

its a bit of a pain in the ass to get the filter cartridge off even with the yamaha wrench. mine was a little tight so i had to use a pair of oversized plyers to twist it off. you do have to take off the side fenders to get at it.
