Got that email! Wish this was available when I decided to get mine! I only record in 720 and 960 anyways...

But this one doesnt have the expansion pack options so I still got that goin on. Battery extender and view screen possibly coming.

Still a great buy if you want a great HD Cam!

Wait so is this better, worst or the same as the HD Hero? I didn't finish reading it but I believe it's the same except some more extra features.

But then why the low price? HD Hero retails about 250 - 300.

This is the same MINUS some extra features of the standard HD.

Missing from the HD HERO 960 are 720p @ 60fps, 1080p video, and the HERO BUS expansion port in the rear of the camera that will let you take advantage of GoPro's forthcoming BacPac accessories - LCD screen & Battery Extension - both important features for filmmaking hobbyists & professional videographers that are compatible with the original HD HERO camera.

Yeah so the police know exactly where you did it and how fast..
