I just recently installed a 6000k HID light on my 6R (say two nights ago), and I can tell you it sure makes a huge difference! Visibility is 100% better which I found out in last night's ride with the crew through this bit of road called the Yarra Boulevard (touge like pice of road), last night was my second pass through there at night and boy the HID helped tons!!! Apart from that I also noticed that people tend to notice me more now, I've had cars merge into my lane or not merge out of the way when I'm behind them. Last night I had several cars move out of the way and also my fellow riders in the crew said it was a lot easier to spot me while I was following them, yet not blinding them at the same time...
So all in all it has been the best $45 odd bucks I have spent on this bike so far!
