Fz6r / XJ6 fork conversion, fz6 41mm forks?

One problem I can see is that the FZ6 has 43mm forks, not 41mm. Also the conventional R6 forks will swap into them with minimal modifications. Really the only way you're going to get an inverted fork onto the front of our bikes is by swapping the entire front end. All balls racing sells taper adapter bearings, so it's just a matter of getting the correct stem length and mounting the ignition switch and handlebars to the upper triple clamp. The front end swap takes care of improving damping as well as brakes, which are my #1 and #2 complaint about the bike. I've been looking at 07+ R6 front ends, but haven't found a good deal yet.

it's much easier and cheaper to just replace the original guts with the cartridges from another bike like an R6 or GSXR. No external difference is apparent except the fork cap. And you get 3-way adjustable front suspension. Lots of SV650, EX650, and FZ07 guys have done it.
