My last bike was a 2008 Ninja 250. One of my favorite mods I did was also one of the simplest. I changed the front and rear brake reservoir caps, and the oil cap to ones that had the Ninja logo on them. It really dressed them up nicely and required no modification of the bike.
I want to do the same with the FZ6R. The rear cap is hidden so that one is fine as is. I've searched for weeks but have found nothing specific to the FZ6R. I've found nothing for the oil cap but I did find something that may work for the front brake cap:
1984 1987 Yamaha Virago 700 Black Billet Fluid Reservoir Cap Logo Engraved | eBay
This seller has many listings of the same cap for all sorts of Yamaha bikes. I compared the length of the listed item to our bike and the cap is the same length. I asked him what the width is and he just referred me back to the listing, so no help there. From what I can tell it may work. My only concern is the placement of the screws. The cap he has listed looks like the holes for the screws are closer to the edge than what they are on our bike.
I'd really like to get this item and I don't mind getting it and it not working out. I'd be worth the $15 to see if it fit. If it did then any of you who like the item could buy it without fear of wasting the money. If it didn't fit I'd just re-sell it or give it to someone.
Does anyone have any input on whether it may or may not work for the FZ6R?
Thank you.
