Any who's I was getting ready for work, turned serenity around and backed her in. Looked at my mileage and it said " F-Trip 3.4 "

I hit select and found trip A and B then ODO then back to this F trip.

What the hell does f trip mean? And why haven't I seen it before?

Means you've gone 3.4miles on reserve basicly.

You need gas.
Once you fill up, hold reset till f-trip goes away, then its back to normal.

I haven't needed to hold reset after I fill up, mine goes back to normal after I switch back to odo, trip a, or trip b.

f-trip stands for trip on low fuel. It basically tells you, hey.. you've got about another 30 miles max before you get to push me home. At least for me with TBR System and FC.

Read the owner's manual, it's on page 4-6/4-7. Who knows what else you might find of interest there. If you don't have one, it's online (here - no searching required).

Thanks for the link, i couldnt find my manual so i asked on the fb group, once i fill up mine goes straight back to whatever trip/odo it was on before hand.

I think it is pretty much useless to count up, if anything it should count back like my car does. It freaks out when ever I have 50 miles till empty and counts back to zero.

I was wondering what it counted up to, I always get gas when it comes on or before.

Either way if it comes on I'd get gas. Haven't run mine that low.

I hit the F-Trip last September when my Dad and I were on our long trip. We left Bishop Ca. full of fuel heading to Las Vegas. We didn't even see another gas station for 187 miles. We could tell on the maps that there wasn't much out there riding around Death Valley, but we figured there HAD to be something. Nope. (I should clarify I don't get good milage at all on my bike with my exhaust, the maps I usually use, and the way I tend to ride. 32-35mpg is normal for me. I've had f-trip turn on at 100 miles when I've been out on a fast canyon ride Our plan the whole trip was for us to stop every 100-120 miles for gas just in case.) I had my fuel saver map turned on, trying not to be hard on the gas, tucked in, drafting trucks as much as I could, etc... F-Trip turned on at 170 miles exactly and 17 miles later we found a gas station and truck stop. I put 4.2g into it. I've never had to put more than 3.5 gallons into it. Needless to say, I was $#itting my pants riding in the middle of the desert in 110º heat running out of fuel.
