DDM HID light question

So I got the HID light from DDM tuning and have a question for those who have installed them already. My light came with a metal bracket on the underside of the bulb. My current bult just sits in there by itself so I don't know if I should take that bracket off or leave it on? Any help would be appreciated. I don't have a picture but can take one if necessary. Its not the back plate needed to secure the light but like a u-shaped metal piece that sits directly under the light. It seems that it would block the light from going downward.

A picture would help, but if it is what I am thinking of I just left mine on there and I have had no issues with light output on the road.

I got the same ones you did all the metal does is it stops the light from shining up. I would keep it on! Just make sure you direct the light after you install your hids.

Make sure you throw up a picture or video whenever you're done installing it!

Like they said, the h4 bulb has the metal reflector to keep the light from from shining upwards. All hid kits should come with them
