Clutch Issues

I recently swapped out my stock levers for some nice shiney black Pazzo shorties...Now I notice that when gunning the throttle it hits about 6000rpm then acts as if I pulled in the clutch and it just revs not bring power to the bike...any suggestions on what might cause this? Im thinking the new lever might be pulling the cable slightly when its let out.

DId you adjust your clutch cable when you installed the new levers?

Take a nickle, tighten the cable all the way, with bike off, loosen enough to just slide the nickle between the lever and the lever's mount with just the slack. Then update us.

I too have Pazzo Black shorties, clutch is at #4 and brake is at #2 for my comfort.

As mentioned, it is most likely just a clutch cable adjustment issue.

Ok....So I think its fixed. I think I may have tightened the lever to the mount to tightly. I did as you suggested and now it shifts into neutral as easy as the stock lever. (without stomping ). I havnt road tested it yet due to icy roads but will try the street test this afternoon when it warms up. Ill let you know how it goes from there...Thanks for the suggestions.
