This is the first time I've ever used 20W-50 weight M/C oil in any of my bikes. I only have about 100 miles with this oil so far. But I think the bike runs great and the transmission seems more positive going up or down.
Anybody else using a 20W-50 weight oil in there bike?

ive had the opposite . once i hit 1k i did my change. the stealership told me to run 20w50.. so i went syn yamalube. 20w50. from that instant my clutch slipped over bumps. acceleration was sluggish .. shifting was a nightmare. . they told me i was full o crap.. so i made them ride it. then made them refund my money.. went to silkolene 10w40 race and it was night and day. no slipping .. snap the throttle and the front end lifts . also no tapping anymore. . i think it may come down to what day of the week your bike was built :)

I've been running Mobil 1 20/50 for Vtwins(already had it) in mine all summer and its been great. I may change to something a little thinner for winter tho.
