i did a -1/+2 sprocket switch using driven sprockets. the stock chain still fits perfectly. definitely more get up and go off the line and as someone stated earlier, top end in 6th gear is about 120
i would remove the signal canceler first just to make sure the dash indicator problem is the right diagnosis. i guarantee that will be easier than changing the dash indicator to LED. and if the problem still persists then u know it is a wiring issue (which i still seem to lean towards, but i...
just use a little hairspray though. just enough to slide it on and get it where u want it. if u use too much it will take a real long time for the hairspray to dry.
just a note for the lights. black wire is ground, blue is daytime running light.the only wire remaining will be for the respective side (ie right and left blinker) sounds to me like u got a ground wire hooked up to a "hot" wire
if u dont want to save the old ones then use a razor blade to cut the old one off. then spray alittle hairspray inside the new ones to help them slide on. in about 10 minutes, u are good to go
if u want to save the old ones then find something small (very skinny yet long flathead screwdriver)...
i used 3m adhesive remover for my residue. it even took off the gas tank warning sticker residue like it was nothing. i had to order it from 3m's website but some people i heard had luck finding it at walmart. i swear by the stuff now after using it on my bike. just spray it on, let it sit for a...
CDN6R: there is a link to the block off plates on the main page. the listing has ended but u can just search ebay using the same title for the item to find them. and thanx for the compliment. i love my bar end mirrors.
PWJ: thanx and i did think about yellow stripes but i didnt want to...
i finally got around to taking some pics of my bike with all the mods i have done. just check out my signature if u are wondering what a certain mod looks like. i just may have done it to my bike. links and everything else provided as well. more pictures will be coming soon.
installed them today. was a pain in the ass but it was my first time ever changing any type of spark plug. the only thing that the "how to" on this forum didnt cover was before u screw in the new plug, there is a threaded piece on the side where the wire hooks onto on the new plugs. if u leave...
circuit boards is the one thing i will not tinker with just because the FUF (f*ck up factor) is higher and more costly. but it seems it is definitely possible with just a simple solder iron and new LEDs
the price is underneath each color on the page with all the options on the page for our bike. price includes return shipping (they gotta ship it back to u) and it says it will be about 10 to ship it to them
k i read ur link jspansel. thanx for that btw. it sounds like the wisest choice is to just take my gauge cluster off and mail it into those guys. now my question is, has anyone done this yet and if so, how?
i think red, for two reasons. one being that i have the yellow 6r and red is kinda the highlighting color on mine. and second because at night, red is the easiest on the eyes, yet still provides good light
it just sounds like u havent gotten throttle control down. practice giving the throttle more/less when shifting and see what works best for u (everybody is a little different). i also always upshift between once i get to 8k rpm and downshift when i get to 5k rpm (not ALWAYS, but most of the time)
