Lol I have owned an 09 R1, and a Ducati 1199 Panigale; I am familiar with clip ons and quite like them on a sportbike! When building a naked bike, streetfighter, etc. some people would prefer a wider bar than the fz's for leverage.
The FZ6R has narrow bars that don't provide much leverage for changing direction quickly- these bars are wider, and also you can "push" with more force easier with some of your weight on the bars- I found it very nimble and eager to turn with the new bars- hope this helps!
1- only a small adjustment at the clutch lever was necessary (the dial at the lever) to tighten it up
2- thanks- we love the look too, the turning radius is the same, limited only by the triple tree. The ergonomics change drastically, you are leaned forward quite a bit. Feels way more...
I am asking for 200 which seems like a fair amount for both parties- we don't need them and it'd be cool for someone to use them or have spares- no marks, scratches at all. De- badged though...
Shipping would have to be added somehow, I live in Ontario Canada.
Not sure how to pm, but if you're...
I am selling the front and side fairings with headlight and windscreen off my 2012 white fz6r. Some brackets come with them, did a naked conversion and if someone needs a refresh or spare set message me!
No worries- my stock 3 prong harness plugged right in no cutting or splicing required. When I ordered I was sure there'd be more to it than that
Good luck! When you're done send me a message with the pic.
I think this is the one- there are several sellers on eBay I used "the alphamoto" but they no longer are selling it. There are a few to choose from though...
I just took out the bulb they supply and put it the factory fz6r bulb- way brighter
Hope this helps...
7" Black Round Motorcycle...
Thanks! The headlight is just a universal 6-1/2" off eBay, paid around 100 bucks. There are more substantial ones on streetfightersinc but this one works fine, direct plug and play...
The bars make it a very aggressive riding position, I like it but haven't put many miles on it yet. They are lower than clip ons, but you can find clubmans with less of a drop (these are 4-1/2" drop). It is my wife's bike and I just ordered barnacles risers to bring them 1-1/2" closer.
Thanks...
