Because I shopped around, test rode several bikes, and finally decided the XJ6 was the best bike for me.
I didn't read any tests; I prefer to make my own mind up!
I wear Kevlar jeans 90% of the time. until it gets too cold, then I wear my Wolf Titanium Outlast pants...
The jeans look like normal jeans, but are a lot safer. they're not too heavy or warm either.
I have a few different brands, but my favourites are Draggin' Jeans.
Because it was a naked bike, mainly. Hate faired sports crotch rockets... And because it was cheap. I commute year round on the bike, and wrote off my XJR 1300...

Supersport? A detuned FZ6 motor, which is itself a detuned R6 motor, in a budget frame, with budget suspension? I think not. I love it, but a supersport it is not!

Does anybody know if they fit the XJ6/FZ6-R?
Looks like a good way of improving braking power?
In fact, how about fitting a whole USD R1 front end?

I have a set of heated grips fitted. Plus a set of MotoX "Bark Busters" to keep the worst of the wind & rain off. Works a treat with a good pair of gloves.
Weird - I have been taught the way I described, by every instructor I have ever dealt with - front only, front + back, back only - dive, level, stop...?
Y'know, I can't help but wonder if the dickhead that CAUSED your crash even realises what he's responsible for? You did say he came round a bend in YOUR lane?
Good you're in one piece, even better that the bike is too! :)

I would like to find someone in the UK willing to ship me the mounting hardware body panels and headlight setup for the XJ6N and use that to go streetfighter with mine. That'd be so BA! :Flash: :Sport:
Let me know if you're still interested in this - I live in the UK, and I'd be...
Here in the UK it is legal; and I do it every day.
I've put 8000 miles on my XJ6 since I bought it last August, mainly riding in city traffic.
And yes, it is a risk - but isn't it also one of the features of riding a bike that makes it better than driving a cage?
I don't get stuck in...
