Hmmm... I had the dealer order one of those up to replace the one on the bike because they damaged it sometime between purchase and delivery. Minor damage to graphics though so was in no rush to get in and do it but then they went out of business. I wonder who acquired their inventory...
But...
That's a beautiful looking hot chick bike! Almost went that route in 2011 when buying a bike for the GF, but the dealer that still had the '09 wanted more than I could get the '11 for.
Hope she enjoys it!
While the FZ6R isn't going away (yet) Yamaha is making great additions to the line-up with the FZ-09 and FZ-07. I first saw and sat on an FZ-09 in June 2003 and loved the look and feel of the bike. (Unfortunately it was a pre-production bike and we could not take it out for a ride for insurance...
LoL - I guess that woulda been an easier way to figure out what that thing was then trying to find it on the parts fiche!
I don't have anything on the helmet to loop the cable through anyway, so as of a couple days ago, that bracket is in the spare parts box. I'm planing on fastening my...
I'm curious how many people use the Helmet Bracket under the back seat. I was scratching my head and had to go look at the parts fiches to even determine what it was.
More appropriate to say that Canadian bikes are not restricted than already derestricted.
Follow and read the links provided to learn about LAMS in Aussieland. I did and learnt a lot... I learnt that it sucks to be a new rider in Aussieland! :-D
That said, I like the concept and would love to...
I clean and lube the chains on my bikes, at least the ones that have chains anyway, with the bike on a stand and in gear. I know and understand the risk, but I'm lazy. :)
I generally believe that it's not a safe practice, but it's a calculated risk. I take no offence to a warning and...
Well ain't that pretty! A couple bolts and 3 plastic rivets and all is shown under the Right Rear panel. And the licence plate light is connected with bullet connectors! Mega easy plug-n-play, no wire tap, signal voltage source!
I'll post photos up soon!
So... IMHO, the best location to tap...
Never too late! ;)
I'm tearing apart the tail of the bike now so I can see whats going on back there. Shoulda done that while installing the Givi Side Bag Rack, but that was done in a rush at the side of the road where I picked up the bags.
Any chance you could share a snippit (or photo) of the drawing that shows the wires to the taillight assembly? Once I have the wire colour legend and an idea of the connector(s) i'm looking for, I'm pretty good to trace them down.
And on the side discussion, I always leave my keys in the bikes in the garage. Most often when touring, I leave my keys in the bike at fuel/meal/rest stops as well. It's a bit of a PITA to remove it from under all the dash farkles. This has lead me to look into proximity sensors and the like to...
Thanks guys! All very typical tap sources as I expected. I was curious if the bike had any 'special' sources that might be popular. My bike, for example, has several great locations that don't require a tap into a main harness wire like the Aux power socket, glove box solenoid and windshield...
I'm a little too anal to use terminal strips, there are far more elegant solutions out there. I actually had the parts on order for a 2 circuit fuse block with relay (<<$20), but the hadn't arrived when I installed the grips. I'll share the details once I have it installed. (See my post on...
