The Timing Advance Mod: Valve Adjustment?

Thanks for the bump, Texan. The universal silence pretty much answers my main question. I'll avoid the timing advance mod until I can pony up the cash for a valve adjustment... just need to figure out the best place here in Waco to get that done. Now, as for dropping a tooth in the front, oh...

The Timing Advance Mod: Valve Adjustment?

Gentlemen, I'll be turning 50,000 miles on my 2009 FZ6R soon. Engine-wise, I've got an R6 header, Yoshi can, Power Commander PCFC running Marthy's Sport map. I run NGK Iridium IX plugs and 93 octane, always. I've never had to do anything to this bike other than normal maintenance stuff. I've...

    MAP Question (WITH PICS!)

Yeah dude, site is live and the map files are all there for download! As for the Advgear maps, am I correct in understanding that the Dynojet speed sensor attachment is required on the PCV in order to run them? I've got the newer (and simpler) PCFC, so I don't have attachment options.

    MAP Question (WITH PICS!)

Okay fellas I'm running the Sport RevA map and have bumped my idle up a bit. No issues to speak of. Here's the vlog of the process if anyone's interested: https://youtu.be/gTPBRDlRh-4

    MAP Question (WITH PICS!)

Thanks so much for the replies, fellas! And especially to Marthy, I really appreciate your feedback. I think it goes without saying that I'm gonna install the Sport RevA map, and I'll also adjust my idle if it's still at 1050. Will report back here with the results and a link to the vlog so...

    MAP Question (WITH PICS!)

Not to mention, my idle is at 1050rpm on this TwoBros map :shakehead:

    MAP Question (WITH PICS!)

Yeah unfortunately I can't run the ADV Gear map because it requires the PCV speed sensor attachment, which isn't compatible with my PCFC. The sport one is what I've downloaded. Think I'll shoot a vlog about it when I install the map... why not?

    MAP Question (WITH PICS!)

LMAO hey! You're the subscriber that likes to give me crap about my factory brake setup! :rof: Yep that would be awesome if Marthy himself could provide his thoughts. His map has WAY more detailed and complex fuel trims.

    MAP Question (WITH PICS!)

Hey guys, Recently installed an R6 header, Yoshimura can, Blackpath block-off plates, and PCFC. I'm currently running the "Two Brothers Full Exhaust" MAP from the Power Commander website, because it's certainly better than running lean. I downloaded Marthy's Viper Sport RevA MAP because...

    Strangeness with oil capacity...

That piece of information right there is about the best possible explanation thus far.

    Strangeness with oil capacity...

blkbrd yes'ir, she's sitting on a matching set of Venom stands, both tires equally off the ground. I've checked it while on the kickstand as well, and it indicated at the very bottom of the dip stick's range. I'm running the K&N filter.

    Strangeness with oil capacity...

Well it's been several days now. Each day after work I've put her on paddock stands (level) while hot and have checked the oil level after 5 to 10 minutes of sitting there. Still sitting perfectly halfway up the dip stick's high/low range indicator. I'm still at a loss. It took 3.5 quarts to...

    Strangeness with oil capacity...

Guys, Routine oil change, bike level on paddock stands. I've never made it a habit of checking the dipstick. I've always just poured in 3 quarters of Yamalube and been on my way. This time, for whatever reason, I decided to check the level on the dipstick and discovered that with 3...

R6 slip on with stock headers

I believe if you cut off the stock muffler, you'd then have to fabricate a mid-pipe to fill the gap between the stock header and the slip-on.

    Woodcraft clip on handlebar mod

Did y'all have to tap/drill the Woodcraft bars to mimic these holes? I think they're there as a "stopper," which a plastic "tit" fits in to prevent rotation of the horn/blinker and killswitch/starter assemblies.
