Hey, I've been riding my 2013 FZ6R for about seven months now, I've been on two wheels for about eight months, and I am just now feeling more confident about testing the limits of myself and the bike. However, When I have actually leaned in to a turn a good bit, the ball on the bottom of my foot peg touched and that threw off my concentration. Seeing in the picture above, that isn't a problem for you, so what's the trick? What am I doing wrong?
hey, rooke,

its been a while,

your still in the criminal justice/ law enforcement field right? i recently put in an application with my local ( county) department, i'd be coming in fresh, i dont have any background in the field and no experience, i got in for the written test on the 17th do you have any advise or words of wisdom you can offer me? you have been nothing but help to me in the past and in all honesty i can't think of anyone else id rather ask :)

thanks,

Jon
Alrighty, time to be spent fully inspecting the assembly before slamming it in the oven then.

Thanks for tips, good advice.
Fingers crossed I can get both apart without excessive force then.
Bert,

I usually do most headlights at 260°F for about 13 minutes, that usually is right to get everything warm enough. Couple tips. The headlight is going to be hot. You are going to want some Mechanix gloves, or something similar to be able to handle it, so that you can open it quickly. You don't want to wait too long, because the sealant will start to harden. Be aware of all clips and screws BEFORE you put the headlight in the oven. You don't want to have to waste time heating everything up to find out that there is a screw holding the lens on. Also, when prying to get the lens off, be careful, the back housing is also going to be warm, you can tear, crack or warp it if you force it too much.
Hi Chad,
I am about to change out my R6 headlight lens's and curious as to what temperature to set the oven to.
What temp do you reccomend to get the black silastic malleable?
