What do you like about your FZ6R?

I will go first with
Coming from a cruiser to this:
I like how nimble the bike is
I liked the price tag
I liked the full faired look
I liked the comfort on the bike - I have hip and knee issues
I liked the fuel mileage
I liked the wealth of knowledge on the net about this bike - senseless fz6r-forum plug

Easy to handle, forgiving to ride, great looks, cheap to run, comfortable, and a great all rounder. Whether I was going for a spirited ride, riding in the city, or droning along the highway to work it never felt out of place. I also really liked how quiet it was. I love the sound a high-performance motor makes when it is really screaming, but I miss how incognito my FZ6R was. It didn't draw a lot of attention, which can be a very good thing.
I like the way the bike looks (after a few mods of course)
You have to ditch the mirrors at the very least.
Handling
Powerband in the low/midrange
Price
Low insurance cost
Customization (thanks to all those that pioneered the mods)
Versatility (this bike can do it all)
Handles twisties, commuting, trackdays equally well.
Gas Mileage (getting about 47 average) Not sure if the Viper and PCV will change that number.
Can't think of another one off the top of my head, but when I see others listed I will probably :facepalm:

Gas mileage! Usually 50 mpg for my commute, sometimes even 55, and 60 off the highway.
The ease of oil change! Unlike some Yamahas whose oil filters are HIDDEN...
The looks/color - My 2011 copper/raven is gorgeous
Power/speed - plenty for me coming off of a V-Star 650 Classic..
Seating position - might be hard on my butt, but way easier on my back than the "cruiser slouch"

LOL! Despite what even some other FZ6R owners think, I think the 6R is a nice looking bike (minus the hideous rabbit ears). My bike in its current state looks more supersport now than tourer. Once I put clip-ons on there it will look and sound like a SS, only comfortable to ride all day long. Love my 6R!
There are a bunch of riders here that have them. They don't change the angle much because they are still mounted above the triple. Mostly an aesthetic change for the 6R. I'll have to search to find one of the threads I used for research. They will be my father's day present.
I may do the cam swap that Marthy did, but it depends on the level of difficulty. He said the parts are around $50. Adds at least 5-10 Hp

Price for what? The bars are $180 for the woodcraft 1.5" riser model. Considering how much I spent on other mods especially exhaust and PCV that isn't bad. Wanna get new grips anyway so I'd only need to transfer the controls and shorty levers. I think you do have to drill a hole for the controls to keep them from rotating (nipple on the control goes in the hole). Actually I have my bars in the forward position and rolled back so it's about the same position as clip ons. My controls aren't in the holes and have stayed put. Have to move everything if you roll the bar so that everything is accessible and the brake reservoir is level.
Knew the forums seemed quiet all of a sudden. You're right it is gone.

Probably not deleted, just hidden. You could ask the mod to reinstate the thread. I don't know this for sure, just assuming they wouldn't delete the entire thread.

Talk about getting off topic! Aren't we supposed to be talking about what we like about the fz6r? Lol
I love the fz6r for its potential. I love the xj6 for its looks. I love them both for their price tag and simplicity.
