Well if you like better night time visibility the answer is simple but watch the video and make your own decision.

I used a xentec HID kit which I ordered off of ebay. I had originally had a krypton bulbs unit but had a few problems and had to return it for a refund. So far the xentec kit has worked out great for me and I would recommend it. If you need some help on install there is a thread on here somewhere I wasn't able to find it in the minute or two that I searched but I know it is here.

You should do a drive with Halogen and a drive with HID down the same stretch so its a real comparison. Maybe down a country side road too. So you don't have street lights affecting your lighting.

I'm going to have to say that I really don't care for how that kit is setup...

I just don't see the point in having 2 bulbs doing the same jobs that one could do with a proper setup. Also during regular driving you will be having to use the halogen in traffic when you could be using an HID system that is in a proper projector system with a solenoid that would trigger and allow for high and low beams.

I just don't see the full purpose of this kit that you have going on here.

yeah, you have 2 bulbs, a true setup would only have one with a projector and a solenoid.

So this just installs on top of the factory lights? And only your highs are HID? (old thread I know, but not worth its own thread)

Seriously would love this, mostly because HIDs are illegal in Texas, and theres a state trooper whos an asshole around here who actually enforces the law. Like to have lots of light for deer around here, but be able to have normal low beams to not get a ticket.

I hate to sound like a prick, but I hope that Texas trooper catches you anyway.
HID is great and all, but when it's not done properly it can negatively impact oncoming drivers/riders.

I plan on doing an HID install, but will be fitting a projector in the housing so I don't cause glare like all the kids kicking around in their wannabe Fast&Furios Civics.
