I know it has been discussed a little bit on here regarding front end swaps, but I have not seen much about compatibility with other models such as fz8, fz1, r1, or even different makes. Even the little ive found about the r6 conversions points out that quite a bit of machining is required to the triple trees and the steering stem in order to get them to fit somewhat properly. I cant help but feel there is inverted fork front end setup that is almost bolt on to the 6r. If anyone has found any info on this please let me know. Ive got a line a a dirt cheap 6r that needs new forks, and Id just as soon put a nice new USD front end on there, rather than shelling out money for the stock setup, only to change it out later.
