Hey guys. Have a 2009 FZ6R that sat for a while. Trying to get it up and running. From not turning over to starting on it's own but dying out, this is what I've done:
Would crank but not start.
Drained old gas and added fresh fuel.
Cleaned fuel pump and Replaced fuel filter.
Found and replaced kinked fuel hose.
Replaced fuel rail and injectors.
Replaced spark plugs.
Tested all 4 coils — strong blue spark on all cylinders.
Cylinder #4 was wet with fuel.
Cleared cylinders and blew out plug wells.
Bike now starts on its own (no starter fluid needed).
Starts around 1000 RPM, drops to 500 RPM, then stalls. Spraying starter fluid when RPM drops causes it to jump to ~2000 RPM. Throttle makes it die immediately. It almost sounds like the fuel pump is always priming. Could be wrong about that, but sounds like tank is whining when bike is running.
Opening fuel cap made no difference.
TPS diagnostic d01 reads 16 closed / 90 wide open.
Any help is appreciated.
