Hi All--
I'm trying to sell my FZ6R for 4K and had taken my battery out to charge last week and stupidly left the seats off overnight. I covered the bike, but came out the next day to discover my gas tank missing from my 2009 FZ6R Raven. I filed a police report, just in case they discovered a cache of stolen parts. My questions...
1) Seems like a weird thing to steal. I've been watching sites that sale used parts but nothing. What does anyone hope to gain from stealing such a specific part?
2) My first estimate in replacement parts from a local Yamaha Dealer was $2,000! Half the value of the bike. Been looking elsewhere and finding some parts on E-Bay. Where else should I be looking for replacement parts?
3) Most of the tanks I'm finding are dented. Is there an easy way to get dent's out of a tank?
These are the questions that keep me up at night. Anyone have any answers?
