Shifter Peg

Does anyone know if the shifter peg (the small part with the rubber on it) screws into the the shifter lever, or is it one piece/welded on there?

I have large feet and was considering lengthening the lever, moving the shifter toe peg forward a little bit to accommodate my Frankenfeet. Anyone do that?

FYI... I answered my own question.... its one piece or it's welded on there the best I can tell. It bends fairly easily using a large monkey wrench.
