Rear tire spacer

So I'm doing my first sprocket and chain install. I remember having a bitch of a time with the rear tire spacers and getting it to line up when I changed my tires. But now it seems my swing arm or brake assembly grew a 1/4 of an inch because it just won't snug in. Anyone have any tips or suggestions because I'm on day 2 and it's all because I can't get the spacers to stay/line up ever so perfectly.

I have changed my rear tire multiple times, and changed the chain and rear sprocket once. I did kit have such a hard time. Looks like your spacer is oriented correctly. The wheel/disc/sprocket has to line up in spring arm perfectly straight.

Maybe put your chain adjusters back on to help with a starting point?

Look over everything carefully. Maybe get a second person to assist?

Even with a 2nd person we're basically trying to bend the bike swing arm. I think I'm just gonna grind it to get it to fit. Every video or even mechanic has said it should just snug in. I've tried it lifting without support just my foot. We've tried leveling it with wood and cardboard. Just frustrating to see it be so easy of a thing be so dumb complicated

Update: after using my jobs grinding wheel I was able to shave off just shy of 1/4 inch from the end of the spacer. The. Used a combo of fine grind and sandpaper to smooth out the edges. Now it's still snug but it slids in place with enough wiggling. Wheels are strait as an arrow and there's no give or gaps. Maybe the previous owner got a bum spacer or something

Something's not right. Are your wheel bearings seating in the wheel correctly? Weird but I personally wouldn't grind it down and ride on it. The wheel and spacers should easily fit into the swingarm so something is off with yours. Maybe wrong spacers or wrong length spacer installed in the wheel? Cush drive installed and seated all the way?
