Hi guys,

New to bikes, just inherited an 09 FZ6R that’s been sitting. Taking it in today for a rusty tank cleanup, new pump, and new/adjust throttle cables. Going to be a bonded title, etc. A year ago the forks were maintained and tires replaced. Seems to fire up and run with new battery, but gets a 22 code. You guys think that will go away after some ride time post repair? Thanks!

22 is "Open or short circuit of intake air temperature sensor lead." There's a good list of possible causes of this. If it doesn't come back, then it was a fluke in air temperature sensing at startup. Perhaps the bike was in a cool garage and didn't like the sudden swing in air temperature.
Check connection to air temp sensor, then check connection to ECU. If both okay, could be the temp sensor...
