+1. I start mine before I put on my balaclava, helmet, and gloves and do a quick walk-around . By the time I'm ready to go, the bikes around 120F (on a 30F morning). By the time I get to the freeway (1 mile), it's more than warmed up.In cold temps, you really only need to let it idle until the temp no longer reads "LOW". So for me, at around 112 degrees F, the bike no longer reads "LOW" and it's good to go. Anything beyond that is really just a waste of gas and time. Once you start riding, the engine will warm pretty quickly to operating temps.
Hey guys, i have a 2017 FZ6R and i just experiance this 3 days ago and to day on Feb. 3rd 2021, i time it again and it shut off exactly at 20 minutes,.. at first i was like what the hell, i guess that is a good thing. How long should the bike run just idling? Mine runs for a while then shuts down. I took into Yamaha and they stated that is normal and that there is an auto-shut off at 20 mins or so. Have any of you experienced this?
