Gear indicator install

Has anyone installed an aftermarket gear indicator? If so which would you advise? Thanks

Also wondering if anyone has found any seat upgrade that eliminates the passenger seat and makes for more of a sport bike saddle? All I’ve been able to find at this point is the Corbin units and as nice as they are, $$$$

thanks

I have installed an LED gear indicator, Chinese, ordered from Ebay, about $45, and it was a fairly easy install. There are a pair of connectors that go in line with an existing connection (located Under the tank, if I remember correctly), and two wires that I believe connect to switched power and ground. The Indicator I bought was the red version, and I mounted it right below the speedometer. (The - below in red, which is Neutral.) Attached with double sticky tape supplied, and trimmed.

I went with the HealTech unit referenced in DannyByrd's post. Had good experience with it on another bike so stayed with what worked. I chose the red LED...no regrets.

Right on, thanks for the info! I’m definitely going to grab one of these and get it installed. Thanks again!
