Any chance we get inside info on the new bike or is that under wraps for a video reveal?
Man it's not even worth the trouble of initiating all the hype potentially for nothing. I honestly don't expect this bike to sell. We all know how niche the Fizzer is to begin with.. out of production, not to mention Evelyn is high mileage. Unless the buyer is a follower or subscriber, they won't be able to see past 72k miles. It's just a shot in the dark knowing the other bike is an incredible price, lighter, faster, and in safe possession waiting for me (for now).

LOL I dunno man, after nearly 10 years of ownership, I don’t see myself wishing I still had a slower, heavier bike hahaha

If you would potentially keep it, is there any chance that you'd be interested in collaborating on some heavier modifications? I've been sorting out a project that I'd like to do with my bike, but I just don't have the time or money to dive into it for a while. I'd still really love to see the FZ6R/XJ6 platform get taken to the next level even if it's not on my personal bike because it's so doable.

Absolutely. I intend to begin with the FZ6 cam swap. I just need to learn a lot more about it, specifically the cam gear modification details, and how the hell to do it.

Awesome! My plan would require getting extremely deep in it, but from everything I've been researching and sorting out over the past few years it's definitely a reasonable project. The base idea is just 2nd gen R6/R6S internals in the FZ6R case and utilizing 3rd gen R6 throttles, cluster, and ECU for a more comprehensive tuning option and easy ECU flashing instead of a piggyback like the Power Commander.

Kinda begs the question of whether an R6 engine swap would be more cost-effective.. hmm.

The R6 engine case mounting points are different on the block and the head. It wouldn't bolt into the FZ6R frame. Other than that, the castings are the same aside from the FZ6R valves being larger.

I'm way too deep in all this lol.
Ah! I had no idea.. that’s unfortunate!

Audace, are you running the 4 degree timing rotor? I know you have an air/fuel gauge on your bike and I'm interested to see how much of a difference (if any) it makes in fueling? Changed my plugs and it looks like I was running right on the edge of being too lean...

I don't have the rotor yet. I'd like to pick one up at some point, but I also don't have a PCV either so I don't want to add too much more without a tuning solution.

Everything I see with the advance rotor always has these bikes seeming to run a lot happier. It's probably getting a more complete burn from igniting earlier instead of losing some of the mixture with the stock timing. I know when I had the air injection blocked off for a while during the summer last year I was reading around 11.0 to 12.0 in low rpm/low throttle and it didn't get to a nice 14.0-ish until like cruising at 6000rpm+.

Message me your address and I'll send you one if you want? I actually have a spare CCDF 4 degree rotor on the shelf (and one on my bike). It would be interesting to me if it changes your air/fuel... Really contemplating an afr gauge for my bike but I have a lot of extra wiring going on already lol

Sorry HCU for the thread hijack but maybe it'll get more views!😁
