Need Help Fuel pump

2014 Yamaha FZ6R
I replace the fuel pump with quantum
fuel system electric fuel pump with the OEM fuel assembly I hear the pump prime now.

the problem now is the engine runs for a second and dies out.

my question is do I need an OEM fuel assembly or is it ok to just replace the electric pump and make the engine run again

I just replaced mine with Yamaha OEM pump. I believe it needs to be regulated to 36psi (don’t hold me to that - check the shop manual/parts dealer). My shop recommended going back with original equipment. Good luck!
