I'm looking into an exhaust mod for my fz6r. I really like the look and sound of either the jardine-GP1 slip on and the SC project slip on.
Is it possible to use the stock fz6r headers and either weld or clamp the tip on with an adapter? Or do you definitely need r6 headers?
You can use a step down collar adapter, don't remember the exact size but I believe it was a 3 1/2" to 2" reducer adapter, the small end will need to be the same as the slip on requires the other just weld to the place where you cut off the original exhaust can, the 3 1/2" is slightly large but just slightly so that it is not a tight fit.
So no need for a new header, if you don't want to.
