Hey all,
This is my first post here. I'm fairly new to motorcycle maintenance and riding in general so I could use some help. I picked up a 2012 FZ6R a few months back and have been using mainly for commuting. Took it out after dark for the first time earlier this week and noticed that the headlight wasn't on.

I tried replacing the bulb but no luck. When I replace the fuse the headlight would turn on for awhile, but soon after it stops working. The bulb is definitely okay since I can get it to light, but there's something wrong with the wiring that keeps frying the fuses. Any suggestions as what may be going wrong? Thanks in advance.

Per the wiring diagram I have (2012?).... Power via the fuse goes to the headlight relay, which has two R/Y (red/yellow), one for power to the Hi/Lo switch via L/B (light blue/black), then from the switch to the headlight via Green for Lo, Yellow for Hi. What activates the relay is Y/B (yellow/black) from the ECU.... which then powers the relay to turn the headlight on once running. Fairly simple really. So what can short enough to blow the fuse is a good question..... so faulty relay, crudded up contacts in the Hi/Lo switch that may be trying to turn on both beams at once?? Is there any other devices/aux. lighting tied into the headlight wiring either before or after the relay?
