towing

A friend I know is selling one of these... I was wondering if this is good for the bike? Will it work if the bike is in neutral or would it still be hard on the transmission? Would it be better to disconnect the chain first or is it just a bad idea in general? Anybody ever use one or know...

Installed in my truck for trips or whatever. much more secure.. I bolted and welded it in a way that u cant remove the mount unless the motorbike is not in it. I Wanted to lock it to the mount without someone being able to unbolt the mount or take it apart or whatever. chock was $50

Ok guys I have nearly a 500 mile trip next week and I am towing my bike with a uhaul motorcycle trailer. Has anyone used one before? Anyone have any pointers for towing a bike in general?
