    The DSLR Picture Thread!

Yeah just a little. f/2.8 is like the sweet spot on that lens for stuff of that distance it seems. Also had the ISO bumped to 800

    The DSLR Picture Thread!

lol, it's actually a really small can light, like 4" I think. I just put the strawberry right where the light hit the table. They do get a bit warm, I don't really care for them but the damn dimmable CFL's aren't cheap, and neither are LED's at this point. Just bought the place in June so...

    The DSLR Picture Thread!

I'm not sure, I'd have to go dig them back out of the closet. I'm going to grab some film and see if it even works still in a couple days.

Hahaha, thanks. No setup really, it's just a white sheet of card stock on my kitchen table with the halogen light from above for the lighting. Camera is a Nikon D7000 Lens is a Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G Prime This was handheld, manual, spot metering.

I only have the 35mm prime lens so it's certainly gonna be interesting. It's definitely a lot harder than I was expecting.

    Need HD capable SD card?

Any idea how long this is good for? I had an 8GB Sandisk Extreme Pro card but for some reason it would just "lose" the pictures I took. I bought a Transcend 32GB Class 10 and haven't had any issues, but it's nowhere near as fast. 900+ RAW pics from my D7000 is nice :P

Thanks! I haven't dabbled in HDR yet. I don't have a tripod so I'd have to do a good job staying still if I choose to bracket it.

Noob question about fuel tank removal.

Yeah, you should be fine. I put the AIS back in after I removed my block off plates. You can pull the tank back pretty far. I just used some speaker wire I had laying around. I just threaded it through where the bolts go on the front and tied it to the rear grab bar.
