I agree about the seat, pretty uncomfortable. I picked up some padded biking shorts for now, which helps a little.

I use a bungie-cord cargo net with three hooks on each side. The front hooks are attached under the rear seat, the middle and rear hooks attach to the little posts that attach the black hand-grabby thing to the rear seat, only crossed, so middle goes to back and back goes to middle. Seems...

Hmm...there are a couple of interesting things on the UK page. 90 pounds is kind of expensive, but I might order one and see how it goes.
Slightly off-topic: any thoughts on fitting an XJ6 seat to the FZ6R? There seem to be a few aftermarket ones for the XJ6 already...

Uhh, am I missing something here? When did you put oil in? ;) It's probably worth including a step for adding oil and checking the dip stick. I'd hate for someone to fire up their bike with no oil (EEK!)
