It's not that you didn't warn me....human nature is curious so even though someone posts a warning, most people will go ahead anyway. I'm feeling better today and will probably go riding though...can't keep it in the garage forever!
I regret looking at that site and I only looked at the pictures....no vids. I'm a strong believer in safety, full gear, and responsible riding all the time and I understand the risks of riding, but seeing those images didn't seem to help me with anything at all. They made me sick to my stomach...
I don't want to start a battle either, but you keep bringing up the same thing. Read my previous post. Taking off the feelers will not make up for how the pegs are placed. Our bikes are not designed to be railed the way supersports are plain and simple no matter how much you want them to be...
It's quite simple. Supersport bikes have more clearance than we do, allowing them to lean further. Another example is that our bikes have more clearance than a cruiser, allowing us to lean further than they can. Try out a few different types of bikes and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I like the bike a lot, but my original reason for getting it was to learn on it to get me ready for something more powerful and not as user-friendly. The FZ6R is a great bike and I'd keep it if I didn't already have my heart set out on something else.
Even with correct form you will scrape if you're trying to do what a supersport could do. I was following a couple GSXR 600's on the twisties and had one behind me to coach me. At the speed we were going on the curves, I would scrape due to low clearance of our pegs when the other guys still had...
Some people just don't know how to ride with others. I rode with a group last time and this one guy kept screwing up the staggered formation and was right on my ass to my right so that if I had to swerve, I was gonna have to take him out doing it.
I'd rather not cut off the feelers because I've gotten rid of my chicken strips so I use the feelers to know that I have almost no tire left to lean on.
I've been looking to do this for a while now and nothing has come up that would work right. I've decided that by the time I find something, I'll already be trading it in so it's just not worth it. Also, our bikes are really not designed for pushing hard. I ride with a few people who have...
Glad everything turned out okay, but I think in the time she had stopped, put it in reverse, and closed an 8 foot gap to you, you could have honked at her. I'm not saying it would have definitely prevented it because some people don't pay attention to sounds or have their music too loud, but it...
