    Fz6r over heating

Sounds like the issue is the fan not kicking on. You should be able to power the fan directly to test that, if you have a DVM (digital volt meter) you can test the fan relay, (I assume you have previously checked the fuse for the fan, and made certain it is good), and check all connections. That...

    Light throttle return spring mod

LOL, I put one on my son's MT-07. :) No, still running stock with heated grip (which adds more tension).

    Fz6r over heating

Before you change the fan, wire it to your battery and see if it runs or not. You may want to look at the coolant temperature sensor that powers the fan on, and the relay is by the passenger grab bar, right hand side sitting on the bike first. They may be cheaper than the fan. If the fan runs...

    Light throttle return spring mod

Thanks for the clear explanation, and the helpful video. I may see if I can order an 'extra' spring and give it a shot. If it works out, I will keep the modified version, if not, I can go back to the original spring. :) It looks pretty straight forward to modify the spring, and install it. :)

    Wrecked fz6r

Wondering if you can have it 'pulled out', the hole to pull it out sealed, brazed / welded, to reuse it. (obviously, pull the pump and make certain no vapor left in the tank first. :) There don't seem to be many 'great' fuel tanks for the 6R, been watching ebay, and every once in a while a...

    Light throttle return spring mod

Trying to follow your mod. It looks like you bent the hook around about 90 degrees, clockwise from the upper to lower picture. Was that the 'only' thing you ended up modifying? It looks like the bracket where the throttle cables are mounted is in the vice, does that 'remove' from the injector...

Need Help What needs to be done on this bike?

Consider replacing brake lines, upgrading with braided steel, and check your masters / slaves for wear / rubber rot. Definitely replace the patched tire, and it makes sense to get a set, the tires may be past their safe life time by now... Oil, filter, check air filter to make sure the mice have...

Spongy Breaks After New Brake Pads

Also give the pads some time so seat. you may have had some air leak in when moving the lines around, so bleeding makes sense, or tie down your foot brake, and then check the rear master.. sometimes that helps

    Wrecked fz6r

So is he going to restore it, dump it, or part it out?

Rear brakes don’t turn on rear tail lights

Make certain the switch is activated by the spring when you press the brake. Do a continuity check on the switch, make certain it functions. trace the connections back through the wire harness. This assumes the light is activated by the front brake. If that is the case, chances are the problem...

    2010 FZ6R Rims!

Two currently on Ebay (with tires), one still has rotors on it. $200 (U.S) or less, but no clue how tariff B.S. will reflect in pricing... Otherwise, check motorcycle scrap yards... or someone on the forum may have a spare for sale. Good luck! Front Wheel 1 Front Wheel 2

    Seat cowl

Just noticed this Actual FZ6R Rear Seat Cowl (Blue) on Ebay Blue Seat Cowl on Ebay . I imagine you could paint it your bike color, if you don't like blue, but these seem to be as rare as hens' teeth, so here is your heads up.

    Question Fuel tank vents

There should be two outlets on your fuel tank. A breather hose and a drain hose. Breather hose (right side) goes to rollover valve, to canister on the 'California models'. Drain hose is open to atmosphere. Both, in tank seem to run up to the fuel cap. You might want to check the plumbing inside...

    Clip ons, not Woodcraft

Are those 'aftermarket' clip-ons. or some sort of stock to SV650s? Seem to be various incarnations of the clip-ons, different dimensions as well.

    New to bikes

22 is "Open or short circuit of intake air temperature sensor lead." There's a good list of possible causes of this. If it doesn't come back, then it was a fluke in air temperature sensing at startup. Perhaps the bike was in a cool garage and didn't like the sudden swing in air temperature...
