This is a downward shot of them. So it shows how much more inward angle the stocks have. Unless your bars have been tilted.. when they're stock they angle in, not down. Which puts them at a way higher chance of tank slapping. Most fz6rs I see have the notorious tank dent. I never liked how stock...
Bottom is original. I believe I still have both of them still. I'm pretty sure they were powder coated all at the same time.

I'm running Renthal mini mx bars on mine. I know I have a picture somewhere to show the comparison between stock vs them. I actually have an extra if your interested in buying them. I even tappped the ends for the stock bar ends.

You could probably add some padding and raise your seat a lil. There's alot of guys that have done it for comfort. It maybe my next move as I tend to go numb after a couple hours. Also check where your seats set. There are two positions for it. A high and low position. If you do end up going...
Unfortunately i can't imagine you'll be as comfy as the f4i with the clip ons. The issue is that the tank on the fz6r tank is tall. I have a 06 cbr1000rr and the tank on it is 2.5 inches lower.. Which makes the fz6r a bit of a pain to tuck for long periods without discomfort. Unless you wanna...
They goes in place of the AIS reed valve cap and allows removal of the AIS. Essentially it drastically reduces the popping on deceleration. Which is much more apparent when running an aftermarket exhaust. Also it frees up space to allow better air flow to the air box.

Had a little down time and needed some Block Off plates. I figured I'd make some extras while I was at it in case others would be interested in a set. I made two styles- raised lettering and engraved lettering. Didn't make too many so hit me up if you like.

Looks good. You going to get the xj6 fairings? If not I'd say unbolt those fairing brackets and itll clean it up a bit more. Maybe it's my OCD but my next oil change I'm pulling the oil pan and powdercoating that thing black.. it just sticks out like a sore thumb to me now. Ugh! Lol I've thought...
Would love to see the clip ons! Thought about it as well although my 10$ mini bike renthals have done me well! Lol.

Did you lower the rear as well? How's it handle? I had the rear lowering link and the front lowered the 1.75 when I purchased mine and it just seemed like it wanted to pull into turns way to much. So I went back to stock.. liked the flat foot though.. but like handling more.

I replaced my FZ6R bars with these renthal mini-mx50 bars. They might work for ya.. I tapped the ends for the bar weights and powdercoated it. The top is them, bottom is the old FZ6R bars for comparison. Btw I ended up getting two cb750Fs and and cb550. Lol my garage is full!

Mirrors, grips, new pegs, headlight&cluster mounted, headlight tint. Powder coated lil things here and there. Fabing exhaust next.. finally..
Thinking about doing the xj6 side fairings.. Has anyone purchased the eBay sets? I don't really need the headlight/cluster fairings as I'm making my own...
I only ran the bike once on the kickstand with the cap off after refilling. Then topped off the radiator and expansion. The manual gave no instructions on burping/purging the system and I thought I read on here somewhere that it didn't need it. So didn't think it's was necessary.
Perhaps I...
So I flushed my coolant after i got my bike. After several flushes I refilled the radiator and overflow tank with a water wetter/distilled. On my first ride i notice alot of fluid purging out of the overflow pee tube. It would do it every time it would reach the 200 range when the fan was...
Started removing the rear panel to install a new sequential tail light and out falls this!!! Ahhhhh! The girl I bought it from told me that her boyfriend was a druggie and stole the bike from her.. I believe her now! Btw yes I washed my hands thoroughly after!

Yea I been looking at all of them and yours seems like the ticket. It seems like it gets them lower, but forward as well so you don't tank tap. How's your clearances at full lock? Did you purchase it from that suburban Machinery website?
I also like the looks of this woodcraft clipon adapter...
