Interesting -
I can see from those photos how the intake works - four separate round intakes for the throttle bodies individually. So that would seem to eliminate my thought on using an intake like this (picture is a kit for a car).
What I like about those sort of intakes [on cars] is...
I'm a 42 year old guy, been riding about 4 years now, and this is actually only my second bike. First bike was (is - still have it, for now) an '09 KLR 650.
I've never been a Harley-stereotype biker-guy, and never been the wheelie-at-100-MPH-pissing-commuters-off crotch rocket stereotype...
It isn't possible to run the velcro straps under the seat?
If it's a little too wide, maybe trim it where the latch goes?
Or perhaps cut the velcro straps and fabricate a custom way to attach (or velcro) to the structure under the seat?
I bought a backpack that i believe was for sports.
It has a cargo net that zips into a pouch (the pic showed it holding a basketball) that I use for my helmet, a water bottle holder that I use with an insulated thermos for my morning coffee, and have my dress shoes for work in my backpack (and...
I feel like someone must have removed the "stock setup" on my bike.
Is it supposed to be bolted to the two bolts on the black crossmember?
I have an '09, maybe they didn't build them in yet.
Although, I have the hook - the metal strap that these loop to.
This is a really clever idea, but I have a concern on security, looking at your pictures-
I'd keep that cable as short as possible or someone could feasibly PUSH on the cable, pushing it in - if they push it far enough (what, about 4"?) it'll come unlooped from the metal bracket under the...
Where's the info for that airbox mod? Is it on this site? I'd like to do it.
I can see how and why it would sound good - I used to autocross imports back in the day. I had a '95 Civic with the VTEC motor, and had a true JDM performance exhaust on the car - Japan has tight noise regulations...
I suppose "too late now" but thought I'd chime in.
My first bike was an '09 KLR-650, had a huge rack on the back I could bungee things down to, I had a handlebar bag to stash my sunglasses, gloves, and a retractable lock, and I had a set of Nelson Riggs soft bags that I could drape over and...
2009 blue FZ6R with just 4200 miles on it, detailed nicely, stock save for a fender eliminator kit on the back - $2900.
I felt like that was a pretty good deal for how clean and low mileage the bike is.
